Philipp Riederle

Podcasster, New Media Enthousiast

Does Age make a Difference in Business?

Five years ago, about a year after Apple launched the iPhone, Philipp Riederle developed instructions for using the phone to record and publish on the Internet. Within a short time his weekly podcast titled “My iPhone and Me” was immensely popular. Three years later, every show was downloaded more than 30,000 times. Meanwhile Phipz, as Rierderle is known on the Internet, created a second show called “My iPad and Me.” All the while he attended the gymnasium.

Riederle produces his shows on his own, from a studio in a converted basement in his grandfather’s house in Burgau, Germany. The podcasts have gradually become more professional, due in part to a sponsorship by an Internet retailer. With the success of his shows, Riederle is now in demand by large companies to provide information about social media and the digital generation.

Along the way, Riederle has become an authority, whose company Phipz Media gives advice on the inner workings of social media and how to reach young target markets. A newspaper in Berlin called him the "board of director influencer" and BILD named him among the 100 Germans of the Future.
